Mission of the Utah County Commission: Governs Utah County with executive, legislative and judicial functions as defined by State statute. It is responsible for levying taxes, adopting ordinances and making policy decisions for unicorporated Utah County. The commission must also collaborate with cities, towns, townships and all effected citizens. Primary responsibilities: 1) County Health Department, 2) County Sheriff Office, 3) County Jail, 4) Search and Rescue, 5) Assessment and Collection and use of Property Taxes
